Black furniture is back in fashion!

In the 80's black ash furniture was all the rave as it was different, striking and unqiue. Over time though the appeal of black furniture diminished and slowly disappeared from peoples bedrooms, living rooms and dining rooms. It was a black day for black furniture!

Some of the popular pieces of black ash survived such as black wardrobes, black coffee tables and black dining tables, but even they now look dated.

Come forward 20 or so years and black furniture is now back in but this time it is not just black ash furniture but also black glass furniture that is taking the UK by storm. Glass furniture has risen in popularity over the last few years and more and more manufacturers are able to produce quality glass pieces that are also strong and sturdy to function as furniture. Once this happened it was only a matter time before someone decided to make the glass black to give us black glass furniture.

There are a number of quality black furniture ranges popping up gradually which are perfect for the bedroom and living room. You can find all the pieces you would expect in black paint or glossed finishes such as black sideboards, black bookcases and black chests of drawers.
