Cravats - anyone wear the cravat?

I was looking through some magazines and noticed a couple of well dressed people wearing tie like bowties. Turns out they were wearing a cravat. The cravat is another French item, turns out im into French things at the moment - see the writing bureau post. Apparently a mix between a scarf and tie the cravat is considered quite a formal item of clothing however more casual cravats can be bought for everyday wear. TV bed - beds with in built TV!

Anyone seen the tv bed I'd read about these a long time ago but didnt think they would ever really make a bed with a built in TV. Looks really cool though. The leather bed with tv is available in double, king or super kingsize. Most of the beds come with an already integrated LG 26inch flatscreen lcd tv. The tv can be operated by pressing a button on either side of most of the beds designs meaning you barely have to move, and in the day you tv fits neatly inside the footboard of the bed and wont be seen. A little off the theme of mango & sheesham furniture however this post serves a purpose and is related to furniture.

Do you no what a bureau is? Many people don't seem to no what a writing bureau is anymore and it's a shame so this post is aiming to "repopularize" the bureau. The bureau is a french piece of furniture from back in the day that was popular in peoples living rooms or study area for writing letters on. It features many compartments for storing stationary and other things in drawers.

The writing bureau was often made from wood such as mahogany, teak or walnut however nowadays you're more likely to find an oak bureau as this solid wood is a cheaper and more common alternative, whilst still being a strong and quality bureau. Another common wooden bureau is the pine bureau which is usually the cheapest to buy as pine is very abundant however with this is a lower quality product.

In relation to your indian furniture some of the dark stained oak bureau or bureau in mahogany and teak will match perfectly. Sheesham wood and mango wood furniture often have a similar grain and dark colour making your sheesham living room furniture, coffee table and bookcase match well with your bureau.
